Located on the 4th block, this is the only public bath in Hokancho that has been in operation for over 80 years. A warm-hearted woman welcomes you at the reception. The shop curtain changes with the seasons, and this time we picked the spring version. Many regulars frequent this place, which is an essential part of Hokancho.
Shampoo and towels must be brought in.

Etoile
Cafe Etoile is a coffee shop located in Hokancho 4-chome.
A cafe with a strong retro atmosphere. Whenever you drop in, you'll be greeted by a smiling couple.
The smell of coffee and cigarettes, the sound of the bell ringing at the entrance, and the laughter of the regulars all make you feel very emotional.
The recommendation is the katsudon.

This sign is at the end of Hokancho 3-chome. It stands there like a gatekeeper as you head from 4-chome to 3-chome.

The sign of Sanyo Chikusan, a butcher shop that was open before Torii-Kuguru was built. It currently greets smokers in Torii-Kuguru's smoking area (commonly known as the piloti).

Shopping promenade
A large billboard located in the arcade in Hokancho 3-chome.
It depicts Momotarou and his entourage, which is typical of Okayama, and although many years have passed since it was installed, its beauty has not faded.
