[NAWATE] Nawatebon
[NAWATE] Nawatebon
The NAWATE PROJECT (※) celebrated its 10th anniversary last year. The interest of a former staff member in the relationship between the places and people involved in the NAWATE PROJECT led to the creation of a booklet called "Nawatebon" that unravels the origins and activities of the project . "Nawatebon" is a book that unravels the relationship between "people and Nawate" with the theme of " What kind of people have been involved with NAWATE, Torikuguru, and Kado so far/ What effect has their involvement had on them?" It is mainly composed of interviews with people involved in the project, essays that put into words the time spent at Torikuguru, and a compilation of contributions from staff members. Flow, move, gather. Stop, stay. It is a record of the project, the area, and the people involved, where events are constantly being born . *The project began in 2012 with the idea of utilizing a large vacant house in Hōkanchō 4-chōme . We operate Guesthouse Torikuguru, Hōkanchō 4-chōme Lounge Kado, and NAWATE. We will inherit old buildings in the town and restore them little by little with our own hands, creating new opportunities for the lives and lifestyles of the people involved in the community and project .
